Challenges Solved

Is this you?

  • How will a change in the chemistry of my coatings affect our pollution control systems?
  • Our local municipality will no longer accept wastewater from our coating process. What are the options for onsite treatment?
  • We added another coating line and are not sure if our existing environmental technologies will keep us in compliance.

The Anguil Advantage

Whether you are flow coating miniblinds, magnetic tape, aluminum cans, coils, wire or paper, Anguil’s 40+ years of pollution control experience will provide unique insight into the wide variety of applications in the coating industry. For solvent or water based coating operations, Anguil’s experience leads directly to savings for our customers.

Determining your solution begins by quantifying your application with a thorough assessment of your emissions or wastewater constituents. Utilizing proven principles of design engineering, your abatement system will incorporate air or water volume reduction strategies to reduce system size, meaning a reduction in both capital and operating costs. For air pollution control applications, this can be achieved by cascading areas of lower VOC concentration to areas of higher concentrations. Oxidizer systems are designed to treat both continuous and batch production runs with a high turndown ratio to allow for efficient treatment of single or multiple emission points.

Anguil’s technology breadth and application knowledge allow us to address your specific process concerns.

Resources

  • Surface Technology Environmental Resource Center was designed with assistance from the EPA and in partnership with various industry associations related to surface finishing and coating.
  • The American Coatings Association, formerly known as the National Paint and Coatings Association, is good website with a lot of compliance information which is very well laid out.
  • World Coatings Council, formerly known as the International Paint and Printing Ink Council, has everything related to paint and coatings with a focus on international markets, policy, conferences, news, and analysis.
  • The EPA’s Coating Alternatives Guide (CAGE) provides alternative coating chemistry recommendations for the coating of metal, wood, plastic, and other substrates.
  • Society of Protective Coatings (SSPC) provides training, certification, and information on surface preparation, coating selection, coating application, health and safety issues, as well as environmental regulations.
  • coatingpaint offers resources, articles and information on coating and paint suppliers.
  • Surface Coatings Association of Australia (SCAA) is a regional resource for employees working with coatings such as paint, epoxy, printing ink and adhesives.
  • British Coatings Federation (BCF) is a trade association for the coatings industry in the United Kingdom that helps members with regulatory and other key issues.
  • Paint & Coatings Magazine is a publication that covers industry insight, news and coatings information including regulatory topics.
  • The online version of Products Finishing Magazine has a nice environmental section with relevant stories.
